Frúin is just trained for a few month. She is a very talented big mare with a bright future ahead of her for breeding show and competition.
She has very even 5 gaits with good movements. All you can see on the video is just natural, when you can start collecting her, push her and lift her more she will have much higher movements. She carries herself very well with her light and elegant neck.
From the very first day of her training her töllt was always clear beated with good movements. Her trot is with high leg action and and getting more speed every day. Frúin has a very good walk and well balanced uphill going canter. From the beginning she could canter on an 10 m circle.
Pace will probably be her best gait. After 2 month of training I asked Þórður Þorgeirsson to try her for me and when he was testing pace I was speachless (; She was extremly fast with perfect beat over a long distance. But because of her trainingsstage I did not want to touch the pace again yet. It is for sure there!!!
The breedingline of the young mare is very interesting. Her mother has already given one first price offspring. Her father is the famous Hrafn frá Holtsmúla son Forseti frá Vorsabæ which is judged with 8,58 in total, 8,71 for ridden abilities. Frúin has already had one foal which is very big and elegant, a beautiful 2 year old mare I am looking forward to get under the saddle next year.
Frúin has a very good character, was extremly easy to break in. Already at her 3d time outside she could be ridden alone in a snow storm (!) with a car driving beside her.
