The 2,5 year old stallion Járnkarl frá Gýgjarhóli has a bright future ahead of him.
He shows high and wide movements, has a lot of speed in the gaits, will be 5 gaited.
His breeding line is very good. His father Mímir frá Hamrahóli is one of the highest judged offsprings of Krákur frá Blesastöðum 1A with 8,40! Beside his very good numbers in breeding he has started to do very well in sport. He was in the finals in 5 gait at the German Championships 2016.
The mother of Járnkarl is a super mare. She received already first prize just 4 years old with 9 for pace and was qualified for Landsmót.
The young stallion is very correctly build with a very good top line and soft neck, but of course very hairy at the moment like all young horses in Iceland. (; There are some pictures attached from last spring in the summer coat.
His character is very! positive and eager. He will be very easy and fun to train, is not stressed in any way.
Járnkarl is shoed on the video. He was inside for 2 weeks for halter training and is now enjoying his freedom again together with the other young stallions.
(The black horse on the pictures is his father 4 years old, the bay dun horse under rider is his mother, also just 4 years old.)
